What the academy is for
The Reykjavik Training Academy sits within VATSIM Scandinavia and trains controllers for the Reykjavik FIR. We run the theory half of controller training: the written courses and exams that sit behind each rating from S1 through C3.
The five tiers

Who can join
Sign in with your VATSIM account. Membership of VATSIM Scandinavia is checked automatically at sign-in, and your controller rating comes straight from your VATSIM profile, so there is nothing to fill in.
Roles
Most people arrive as a student. Experienced controllers may also hold buddy or mentor roles; staff write the courses and exams and assign mentors, and the board runs the academy. Roles stack — a C1 mentoring S1 students is often a student on the S3 course at the same time.
